These operational rules explain how BACKEND Booking works day to day. They sit alongside the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy.
1. Accounts
- One account per person or business. Duplicate accounts used to evade limits are removed.
- Handles must not impersonate another person, brand, or BACKEND Booking staff.
- Accounts may not be sold, rented, or transferred.
2. Profiles and listings
- Use real photos of yourself or your own work; label collaborations accurately.
- Prices must be complete and honored. Custom quotes go through offers, not surprise invoices.
- No contact details, external booking links, or payment handles in profiles or listings.
- Keep categories, attributes, and availability accurate — misfiling to game search is a violation.
3. Messaging
- Keep negotiations and agreements in the app so there is a record.
- No spam, mass outreach, or unrelated promotion.
- Sharing contact details to move a paid engagement off-platform triggers a warning and may lead to enforcement.
4. Opportunities, applications, and offers
- Post only real, funded work with an accurate budget, scope, and date.
- Do not use opportunities to collect portfolios, leads, or free work ("spec work").
- Offers are binding once accepted and paid; withdraw before acceptance if plans change.
- Respond to applicants — leaving applications unanswered lowers your standing.
5. Bookings
- Confirm scope, schedule, deliverables, and usage rights before payment.
- Mark work complete promptly; the review window starts at completion.
- Cancellations follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Self-booking, circular payments, and test transactions on live mode are prohibited.
6. Reviews and ratings
- Only completed bookings can be reviewed.
- No paid, traded, incentivized, or retaliatory reviews; no review manipulation.
- Reviews may be removed if they contain private information, hate speech, or extortion.
7. Search, ranking, and promotion
Ranking is based on relevance to the query, profile completeness, verification status, responsiveness, completion and cancellation history, review quality, and recency. Paid promotion can increase visibility and is labeled where it appears; it never overrides safety or policy enforcement.
8. Payments and payouts
- All marketplace payments run through Stripe; escrow holds funds until completion.
- Creators must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before accepting paid work.
- Platform fee: 10% unless otherwise disclosed at checkout.
- We may hold payouts during fraud, dispute, or chargeback investigations.
9. Verification badges
Badges reflect completed identity checks at a point in time and can be revoked if information changes, expires, or proves inaccurate. Misrepresenting badge status is a violation.
10. Enforcement ladder
First minor violation: warning and content removal. Repeat or moderate violation: feature limits, reduced ranking, or temporary suspension. Severe violation (fraud, illegal content, threats, content involving minors): immediate permanent termination, payout hold, and referral to authorities where appropriate. Appeal any action within 30 days at contact@backendbooking.com.
