Community Guidelines

Last updated July 30, 2026

BACKEND Booking is a professional marketplace. These Guidelines apply to profiles, portfolios, messages, opportunities, reviews, and every other interaction on the Service. They form part of our Terms of Service and work alongside the Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Be respectful

Treat everyone professionally. We do not allow harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, hate speech, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Criticize work, not people.

2. Be honest

Represent your identity, experience, rates, and availability accurately. Do not post portfolio work you did not create or contribute to, impersonate another person or brand, or misuse verification badges. Fake, traded, or incentivized reviews are prohibited.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

The following are removed on sight and generally result in permanent termination:

  • Sexually explicit content, nudity used for sexual gratification, or sexual services.
  • Any content involving minors in a sexualized context, or any solicitation of minors.
  • Content depicting or promoting violence, self-harm, or terrorism.
  • Illegal goods or services, weapons, or controlled substances.
  • Content that harasses, doxxes, or exposes another person's private information.
  • Malware, phishing, or attempts to compromise accounts.

4. Keep work on-platform

Discuss and complete paid work through BACKEND Booking so both parties are protected by escrow, receipts, and dispute resolution. Sharing contact details to move a paid engagement off-platform, or requesting payment by cash app, wire, gift card, or crypto, is a violation and is the single most common pattern in marketplace scams. See the Safety & Trust Policy.

5. Communicate professionally

Reply to booking requests, offers, and messages in a reasonable time. Do not spam, mass message, or send unsolicited promotions. Do not pressure someone into a booking, a review, or a change of scope after work is agreed.

6. Honor your commitments

Show up, deliver what you agreed, and communicate early when plans change. Chronic cancellations, no-shows, and late delivery reduce discovery ranking and can lead to removal.

7. Reporting

Report any profile, message, portfolio item, opportunity, or booking using the report option in the app, or email contact@backendbooking.com. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can also block a user at any time, which prevents them from messaging or booking you.

8. Enforcement

Depending on severity and history, we may issue a warning, remove content, limit features, withhold payouts pending investigation, suspend, or permanently terminate an account. Severe violations — illegal content, fraud, threats of violence, content involving minors — result in immediate termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

9. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, email contact@backendbooking.com from your account email within 30 days. We review appeals and respond with a final decision.
