Safety & Trust Policy

Last updated July 30, 2026

This policy explains the safeguards BACKEND Booking operates and the responsibilities you carry when you meet, hire, or work with someone you found here.

1. Identity verification

Users may submit a government-issued ID and a selfie for review. Approved accounts receive a verification badge. Verification documents are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket and are used only to confirm identity and prevent fraud. A badge means we completed a check at a point in time — it is not a guarantee of anyone's honesty, skill, or safety. Creators who receive payouts additionally complete Stripe's regulated identity and business checks.

2. Payment protection and escrow

Payments run through Stripe. Funds for a confirmed booking are held until the work is marked complete and the review window closes, then released to the Creator net of fees. If work is not delivered, you can open a dispute from the booking screen. This protection only exists for bookings paid through BACKEND Booking.

3. Off-platform payment detection

Messages are automatically scanned for phone numbers, email addresses, external handles, and payment-app references. When a pattern is detected, both users see a warning explaining the risk before continuing. We keep these signals to investigate reports, scams, and disputes. Persistent attempts to move paid work off-platform can result in warnings, feature limits, withheld payouts, or termination.

4. Trust signals and ranking

Profiles carry trust signals such as verification status, completion history, responsiveness, cancellation rate, review history, and report history. These affect search ranking and may limit features for accounts with poor standing.

5. Reporting and blocking

Every profile, message thread, portfolio item, and opportunity can be reported in-app, and any user can be blocked. Blocking stops messages and bookings between you. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours; urgent safety reports are prioritized. You can also email contact@backendbooking.com.

6. In-person safety

For shoots, sessions, and events: meet first in a public place where possible, tell someone you trust where you will be, confirm the address and scope in writing inside the app, and never continue if you feel unsafe. Do not share your home address until you are comfortable. Bring an escort or assistant where appropriate. Leave immediately and report anyone who pressures you into work outside the agreed scope.

7. Scam patterns to watch for

  • Requests to pay or be paid by gift card, crypto, wire, or a peer-to-peer cash app.
  • Overpayment followed by a request to refund the difference.
  • Urgency, secrecy, or refusal to keep the conversation on BACKEND Booking.
  • Links to look-alike sign-in pages or requests for your password or one-time code.
  • Offers far above market rate for vague work, or "verification fees" to get hired.

BACKEND Booking will never ask for your password, a one-time code, or a payment sent outside the Service.

8. Emergencies

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. In the US, call 911. Then report the account to us so we can act on it.

9. Law enforcement and legal requests

We cooperate with valid legal process and may preserve or disclose information where necessary to prevent imminent harm. Send requests to contact@backendbooking.com.
