This Customer Agreement applies to every user who books a Creator, posts an opportunity, or hires an applicant on BACKEND Booking. It supplements the Terms of Service.
1. Booking a Creator
A booking is a direct contract between you and the Creator. Describe your requirements clearly — scope, location, date and time, deliverables, formats, deadlines, and how you intend to use the work — before you pay. BACKEND Booking provides the platform, escrow, and dispute process, but is not a party to the engagement and does not guarantee results.
2. Payment
You pay the full amount at booking through Stripe. The total shown at checkout includes the Creator's price and the platform service fee (currently 10%). Funds are held in escrow and released to the Creator after completion and the review window. You may pay by card and supported wallets; you authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method you select.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate briefs, references, addresses, call times, and access instructions.
- Be reachable, and show up on time for scheduled sessions.
- Ensure the location is safe and lawful, and that any permits are in place.
- Provide anything you promised (venue, wardrobe, talent, models, props).
- Review deliverables and mark the booking complete promptly.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation windows, refund amounts, non-delivery claims, and quality disputes are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Raise quality issues within 72 hours of delivery, with specifics.
5. Usage rights
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the Creator retains copyright and you receive a non-exclusive license to use the deliverables for the purpose described in the booking. Exclusive rights, buyouts, paid-advertising usage, and resale must be negotiated and priced before work starts. See the Copyright & IP Policy.
6. Conduct and safety
Treat Creators professionally. Do not request work outside the agreed scope without agreeing new terms, do not pressure anyone into content they are uncomfortable with, and do not require anyone to work in unsafe or unlawful conditions. Harassment or discrimination results in termination.
7. Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on an actual booking. Do not use reviews to threaten, extort, or retaliate. We remove reviews that violate our policies.
8. No off-platform circumvention
Work sourced through BACKEND Booking must be booked and paid here for at least 12 months after first contact. Paying outside the Service removes escrow, receipts, and dispute protection and may result in termination.
9. Chargebacks
Contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Chargebacks filed without first contacting support may result in account suspension and collection of the amount owed.
